#IStandWithBachmann vs @SenJohnMcCain and @CAIRNational and @AC360

Rep Michelle Bachmann is fighting off attacks from the DNC media and RINOs, but still has a few vocal supporters from the remnant of the VRWC on radio and blogs: both  Mark Levin and  Rush Limbaugh:

She's Hillary Clinton's whatever top level aides, Huma Abedin, also married to Weiner.
Her name was Huma Weiner, really, married to Anthony Weiner, the disgraced sex-crazed congressman from New York. So her real name is Huma Weiner. But Huma's mother is best friends with the wife of the new Muslim Brotherhood president Egypt, and there is essentially a Muslim sisterhood that she's a member of, and Huma's father was also likewise involved. So Michele Bachmann and others have written a letter to the State Department wanting some clarification and wanting an investigation because the Muslim Brotherhood is not what they are portrayed to be. The Muslim Brotherhood is not the -- what's the best way to put this? They're not the good Mafia. The Muslim Brotherhood's being portrayed as a bunch of secularist, mainstream, nonradical, and Andy says, no, they're not, they are right down the middle as radical as anybody else in jihad. So it's a legitimate request from Michele Bachmann.

and Breitbart

These attacks on Huma have no logic, no basis, and no merit. And they need to stop now.”

Oh, really? Bachmann had sent a 16-page letter to Keith Ellison, the only Muslim congressman, outlining her concerns:

“The concerns about the foreign influence of immediate family members is such a concern to the U.S. Government that it includes these factors as potentially disqualifying conditions for obtaining a security clearance, which undoubtedly Ms. Abedin has had to obtain to function in her position. For us to raise issues about a highly-based U.S. Government official with known immediate family connections to foreign extremist organizations is not a question of singling out Ms. Abedin. In fact, these questions are raised by the U.S. Government of anyone seeking a security clearance.”

This is absolutely correct. Abedin’s father, Syed Z. Abedin, founded the Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs, an organization supported by the Muslim World League, a Brotherhood organization. Her mother, Saleha Mahmoud Abedin, is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood.

Andrew McCarthy, author of "The Grand Jihad":

The Arizonan took to the Senate floor this week to lambaste five conservative members of the House who, unlike McCain, are actually serious about addressing threats the Brotherhood poses to American interests. McCain’s bipartisan “Islamic democracy” promoters seem content to keep burning through taxpayer trillions until the Brotherhood is finally running every government in the Middle East. To the contrary, the House conservatives — Michele Bachmann (Minn.), Louie Gohmert (Texas), Trent Franks (Ariz.), Tom Rooney (Fla.), and Lynn Westmorland (Ga.) — have concluded that the Brotherhood needs to be regarded as the serious anti-American business that it is.

Robert Spencer author of "Stealth Jihad"

From Spencer in above interview: McCain complains that she doesn't have any evidence, but she's calling for an investigation to either confirm or deny the existence of any evidence. Hence, it's a Catch 22.

Pamela Geller:

McCain is cavalier, lax and sloppy with the facts about the greatest threat facing our nation. Bachmann should be lauded and applauded. And Congress should be pressing for the prosecution of Muslim Brotherhood groups named as such in the captured internal document released during the Holy Land Foundation trial.

  Glenn Beck:

We asked numerous questions of the federal government because a letter was sent ‑‑ well, let me just back up. After the Fort Hood tragedy, a report was issued that said the real problem in our government is that we are not teaching FBI agents or our military to recognize radical Islam. So that’s what we need to do. We need to teach about it. Well, in response to that, 50 ‑‑ over 50 Muslim organizations wrote a letter requesting that the White House start a task force to stop that from happening. Five days after the White House got this letter, this October 19th letter ‑‑ and people can see it on my website, or maybe you have it on The Blaze ‑‑ five days after the White House got this letter from the 50 Muslim groups, they started the purge of the federal government.

Indeed, there was reaching across the aisle, bipartisan support that concluded political correctness was not just a nuisance, but a noose, (as Joe Connor eloquently stated) in Lieberman and Collins on Ft Hood shooting report

We reviewed these communications as part of our investigation, and they informed our conclusion that the attack could have been prevented if DOD had and the FBI had acted sensibly and responsibly based on the evidence they had of Hassan's radicalization to violent Islamist extremism.”

Admittedly, one might possibly go from one extreme to another wrt political correctness, e.g. IMAO's shirt:

Somewhat ott, people denounce Eugene McCarthy, although, his purported paranoia was well founded. With the decoding of the KGB Venona memos, it was confirmed that every department in FDR's admin was compromised with Soviet spies:

NARRATOR: Ultimately the code breakers found cover names for more than 300 Americans who spied for the Soviets in World War Two.
HARVEY KLEHR: American counterintelligence was able to identify only about 100 of these Soviet agents.
NARRATOR: But even this incomplete list is remarkable: Harry Dexter White, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, cover name "Lawyer;" Larry Duggan, Chief of the Division of American Republics at the State Department, cover name "Prince;" Lauchlin Currie, Senior Administrative Assistant to President Roosevelt, cover name "Page."
HARVEY KLEHR: There was not a single agency of the American government that the Soviets had not infiltrated, ranging from the OSS—the forerunner of the CIA—to the Justice Department, to the Treasury Department, to the State Department, to all of the wartime defense agencies.
It's SOP to undergo background checks to receive a government security clearance. The background check includes investigating not only the individual's associations, but friends, relatives, and aquaintances associations, as well.

For example, during WWII, the American effort to decode the German engima machine was led by an American of German descent, Joseph Desch, whose wife had dubious relations back in Germany. This led to the US Navy placing a Capt Ralph Meader in Desch's house to spy on him 24/7:

And Desch would successfully design the bombe, which even the British admitted was far superior to what they had.-but at a horrible cost. Due to his German ancestry (he spoke the language fluently and his wife had at least one family member who was a member of the Nazi's party) He was forced to have the hated Captain Meader as his permanent houseguest to keep a eye on him,

As far as the current administration is concerned, Rep Bachmann has a right to be skeptical, since the Obama admin green lit a Green Czar with a red past:

White House environmental adviser Van Jones resigned late Saturday after a simmering controversy over his past statements and activism [...]

His one-time involvement with the Bay Area radical group Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), which had Marxist roots, had also become an issue[...]

@BarackObama is a Lying Liar who Lies

Obama asserts that he's currently being outspent in his campaign against Romney, which is a lie, from the left of center CNN:

Documents filed with the Federal Election Commission Friday show President Barack Obama's presidential campaign raised $46 million in June and spent $58 million.
Meanwhile, his Republican challenger Mitt Romney brought in $33 million through his campaign, and spent $27.5 million.

Obama compounds this lie with another lie, asserting that he was outspent in the 2008 campaign against John McCain, from the left of center FactCheck.org:

Q: Who spent more money on advertising, McCain or Obama?
A: Overall, Obama has outspent McCain by nearly 3-to-1, but in the closing week it’s been closer to 5-to-1.
Obama continues his lying ways with a new ad where Obama lies about Romney directly quoting Obama verbatim, word for word

Just compare Romney's quote of Obama at 0:10 to Obama's original quote at 0:37. They're identical. If you're too lazy to do this, Glenn Beck does the work for you:

Beck then points out that the Obamaites are engaged in 1984 Orwellain Newspeak, where words no longer have any reliable meaning, terms can be bent to advance political objectives, and 2+2=5, if the Dear Leader has so decreed:

Newspeak is the official language of Oceania, scheduled for official adoption around 2050, and designed to make the ideological premises of Ingsoc (Newspeak for English Socialism, the Party’s official political alignment) the only expressible doctrine. Newspeak is engineered to remove even the possibility of rebellious thoughts—the words by which such thoughts might be articulated have been eliminated from the language.

#IStandWithBachmann vs @piersmorgan and @SenJohnMcCain

Morgan loves the fact that Sen McCain fragged his fellow Republican:

MORGAN: People say this week, after they watched you yesterday railing in against Michele Bachmann, we've got John McCain back. This is the guy we [we = Dems, RINOs, and anti-American foreigners]  love most, because he's not just having a go at the president. He's taking on one of his own on a point of principle where everyone agrees with him [No, everyone doesn't agree that the Muslim Brotherhood is largely secular and not a threat to US security]. This was completely out of line, what she did [You, Piers, lying about UK soldiers deployed in the field of combat and trying to get them lynched is completely out of line] .

MORGAN: Would you like Michele Bachmann to apologize? [UK soldiers are still waiting for an apology from you and your hack tabloid staff for besmirching their honor]

This display of bipartisan, binational weaselness just makes me support Rep Michele Bachmann even more.

Just to remind everyone, Piers Morgan is the same disgraced, unprincipled, dishonorable, slimey lying British "journalist" who was fired over doctored photos he tried to use to smear UK soldiers and get them killed by Al Qaeda terrorists:

Morgan, 39, one of the most controversial tabloid editors of recent times, was dismissed after an afternoon-long board meeting at the Mirror's tower-block headquarters in Canary Wharf, east London.
He was immediately escorted from the building by security staff [...]

The pictures provoked fears that they would endanger the lives of British troops in Basra. After a fortnight of recriminations, demands for an apology reached a climax once the Ministry of Defence declared that they could not have been taken in Iraq.
Col David Black, a former commanding officer of the regiment, said: "It is time the ego of an editor is measured against the life of a soldier."

USA = Banana Republic

McCain finally grew a pair of cojones that were missing during his 2008 campaign. He agrees with Surber that Obama is trying to turn the USA into a banana republic.

Took me awhile to find my website number...

A delayed reaction post on this topic, since, like Biden it took me awhile to find my website number. Just noting the double standard about the response to an obviously technically challenged VP, and the snarky opprobrium heaped on McCain by the Obama camp & their media sycophants concerning the fallacious rumors that McCain didn't know how to use a computer.

Bush is Fascist /sarc

According to the online computer algorithm, The Political Compass , Bush is currently the most fascist Western leader, although he is slightly less fascist than Hitler. McCain is listed, of course, as more fascist than Obama. I'm not certain how more accurate this algorithm is at prediction than the one that decided I'm 89% male. Regardless, this test decided that I'm a middle of road RINO.

This website also provides an Iconochasms test, that dredges up inconvenient facts about and and or quotations from respected personages, left, right, and center. Question 2 reminds people that Al Gore was not always the paragon of environmental virtue:

Who in 1997 championed the privatisation of California's National Oil Reserve, and the subsequent drilling by Occidental that resulted in serious environmental damage, destruction to a sacred Indian burial ground and a windfall for his family trust's Occidental stocks? (Occidental also put a pipeline through the Colombian rain forest.)

This question, of course, begs the question: "When is an Indian burial ground not sacred?" The author of the test implies in Question 10 that it is reasonable to equate Abu Graib and Guantanamo Bay with WWII Auschwitz and Manchuria. With the following question:

15. Immediately following the German invasion of the USSR, which future US President said the following ?

If we see that Germany is winning, we ought to help Russia, and if Russia is winning we ought to help Germany, and that way we let them kill as many as possible.

Harry Truman simply appears to express the Machiavellian, Realpolitik view that Kissinger espoused with respect to the Iran v Iraq war, although, I suspect, that the test's author wished to imply Truman was almost as Fascist as Bushitler.

Digg!
