For example, one may recall that Obama pledged all debates on Obamacare would be broadcast on C-SPAN:
Obama made it clear repeatedly that what he was promising in opening the process governing the formulation of healthcare legislation was something new – letting the public in on what would usually be private negotiations, like the House-Senate conference that produces a final bill for passage. His statements before becoming president indicate he was not referring to congressional hearings, which already are public (except for those on classified national security matters).
One may also recall that said debates were not made open, resulting in numerous sleazy backroom deals, like the Cornhusker Kickback and the Louisiana Purchase, and, more recently, the Senior Swindle:
To the Cornhusker Kickback, the Louisiana Purchase, and Gator Aid, President Obama has now added the Senior Swindle — a ploy to spend $8.35 billion in taxpayer money to hide the effects of Obamacare’s Medicare Advantage cuts until after the election.
The blaze interviewed Horner before his book was published:
Administration officials, from the highest levels of the White House down to career liberal activists in government, use private email accounts to hide public business. Private computers, too. Even systems that automatically destroy, from the outside, all trace of public records.
They’ve ordered the creation of secret email accounts for the most senior among them, who are unquestionably subject to FOIA. To protect from scrutiny specific appointees or outside groups’ influence, they employ what spies call “tradecraft”: handles and cutouts.
Andy Dean interviewed the author, Horner, on his America Now radio show, after his book was published.
Horner asserted that Janet Reno's love child, Jim "Creepy Hands" Messina,
was the sleazy master mind behind using private email accounts on private computers to circumvent public accountability and FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests. Additionally, Horner asserts that Obama and his minions, when not "guilty of intentionally breaking the law", more mundanely exploit Byzantine bureaucratic incompetence to slow walk legal, legitimate requests for information:
the Obama administration has routinely tried to squelch his requests by forwarding them to the wrong agencies, claiming he would have to pay huge fees for the documents to be processed or just flatly ignored. Several times, Horner has been forced to sue the government for the requests to be honored.
Horner writes that the Obama administration is guilty not only of cooking the books figuratively, but, literally, as well:
“I’ve got an affidavit, which I reveal in the book for the first time, from an official in the government acknowledging that they’ve got essentially a cyber bonfire going on at all times in the administration,” said Horner, who said the “bonfire” is tasked with “destroying records, using nongovernmental computers to access governmental servers.”
So, even when the Obama administration finally leaves the White House, voters may never be able to get to the bottom of who knew what and when of the multitude of domestic and international scandals plaguing this administration, such as Fast and Furious (DOJ giving guns to Mexican drug gangs resulting in hundreds of deaths), Benghazigate (Somebody in Obama's admin allegedly giving guns to Al Qaeda, who used them to kill our ambassador), GreenEnergyGate (billions of dollars given to Obama campaign bundlers for bankrupt companies), WhoKnowsWhatElseThey'reLyingAboutGate, etc. etc.
