@AmbJohnBolton and Jeane Kirkpatrick vs. @UN

Before there was the awesomeness of John Bolton, there was the awesomeness of Jeane Kirkpatrick. Peter Collier's new book on former US Ambassador to the UN, Jeane Kirkpatrick, Political Woman, was reviewed on booktv. Collier asserted that one of Kirkpatrick's legacies is that she removed the "Kick Me" sign from the US's back.  However, it seems, according to Dick Morris's new book, Screwed, that delineates a list of horrible UN agreements back room deals which attack our Constitution & Bill of Rights, the "Kick Me" sign has been firmly reattached to America's back.

Collier pointed out that when Kirkpatrick first entered the UN, the US (& Israel) was continuously being outmaneuvered & outvoted. Jeane, allegedly, introduced Chicago style pay to play type politics to establish a correlation between US foreign aid & recipient countries' voting records. Jeane, allegedly, hung a photo of Mayor Daley Sr. in her office to remind her staff that she wasn't going to allow the US to continue being treated like a gullible little kid who hands out free cookies to everyone, assuming that their buying goodwill, when they're just being played for suckers. Unfortunately, her style of foreign diplomacy doesn't seem to have become the norm over at Foggy Bottom, as per Pakistan, Egypt, etc etc etc.

Collier asserts that Kirkpatrick was only monomaniacally fixated at defeating the USSR's Red menace & never pivoted at the end of the Cold War to perceive that Green might be the new Red, either from a proposed Islamic Caliphate, as Glenn Beck proposes:

Or the Environmentalist extremist Green=New Red:

Foster and Perez urged the conference’s participants to consider socialism as the only viable solution to the climate emergency.
or as per UN Law of the Sea Treaty:

Thirty-one senators signed on to a letter by Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) opposing ratification of the United Nations’ Law of the Sea Treaty, potentially dooming the pact that opponents say compromises U.S. sovereignty
Part of the motivation is that the ChiComs think that they own the world & thus they don't respect their neighbors' territorial claims, as per map:

(Off topic, the ChiComs' rather imperialist view of geography might explain why the PRC kidnapped US airmen in the beginning of GWBush's admin, even though, according to international vs Chinese law, the US plane was flying in international airspace.)

Even some Democrats acknowledge that China's eyes are bigger than its stomach with its overreach of territorial claims:

US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday said that China’s claims in the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea) exceeded what was permitted by the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (Unclos -- or, more accurately, Law of Sea Treaty or LOST, as in our sovereignty & rights) as the Obama administration began a new push to join the 30-year-old treaty.

Regardless, in order to placate everybody, the UN has decided that the US & other countries should relinquish our off shore drilling profits to the UN which they will dole out, as they see fit, to various tyrants & dictators, presumably to engage in anti-American & anti-Israeli activities. Why having the US surrender more of its sovereignty is somehow going to convince the ChiComs to stop trying to annex all of the Western Pacific isn't clearly explained:

The International Seabed Authority (ISA), a global body located in Kingston, Jamaica, would have the power to regulate 70% of the earth’s surface, placing seabed mining, fishing rights, and deep-sea oil exploration under the control of a global bureaucracy.

Of course, it's quite possible that all three factions could combine to form a Red/Green/Green Alliance against US interests, with their organizing principle being knee-jerk-anti-Americanism, or, to come full circle, the "Blame America First" crowd denounced by the Eternally Awesome Jeanne Kirkpatrick:
They said that saving Grenada from terror and totalitarianism was the wrong thing to do - they didn't blame Cuba or the communists for threatening American students and murdering Grenadians - they blamed the United States instead.

But then, somehow, they always blame America first.

When our Marines, sent to Lebanon on a multinational peacekeeping mission with the consent of the United States Congress, were murdered in their sleep, the "blame America first crowd" didn't blame the terrorists who murdered the Marines, they blamed the United States.

But then they always blame America first.
