Saints Perpetua and Felicity
Martyrs ( 203 A.D.) Feast: March 7
Saints Who Worked Together
An authentic account of the martyrdom of Perpetua & Felicity comes down to us, much of it written by Perpetua herself. A 22 year old married noblewoman, she was arrested with the slave Felicity & 3 Christian men.

After relinquishing her infant son, Perpetua professed her faith before the proconsul & her own pagan father. When asked, "Are you a Christian?" she replied simply: "Yes, I am." All 5 were sentenced to mauling and execution in the amphitheater 🏟️ 🐆

Thus, Felicity and Perpetua went together to face the bloodthirsty crowd. An anonymous eyewitness takes up the account and tells how the women bravely bore the attacks of a mad heifer 🐂
