Reason #3 to vote for Toomey over Specter in 2010

In a craven, amoral manner, Specter talked down the economy to push through porkopulus:

The nation is on the "brink of a depression," but there's a "reasonable chance" that the $787 billion economic stimulus package will help ease the situation, Sen. Arlen Specter said Monday.

Now that Obama and his bipartisan supporters of unprecedented deficit spending got their pork, they can pull an Emily Litella & cease and desist with their predictions of eminent economic collapse.

In a related headline, the Potbellied pig found wandering near Philly airport, upon closer inspection, just turned out to be the current senior senator from Pennsylvania.

Michael Reagan, talk show host and son of Ronald Reagan, has endorsed Toomey over Specter for senate.
