I thought Agatha Christie wrote a poem about primrose flowers but she wrote about cowslip , nightshade & fairies instead 💐🌼🧚♀️🧚♂️ pic.twitter.com/xa5GfbVdz3— 🎼AdagioForStrings🎻 (@adagioforstring) June 5, 2019
David Suchet [who played Poirot] : "The Cowslip" a poem
There was once a little cowslip
And a pretty flower, too
But yet she cried and fretted
All through a robe of blue
Now a merry little fairy
Who loved a trick to play
Just changed into a nightshade
That flower without delay
The silly little nightshade
Thought her life a dream of bliss
Yet she wondered why the butterfly
Came not to give his kiss
She wrote that in April 1901 Agatha Miller aged 10

The Primrose opens wide in spring;
Her scent is sweet & good:
It smells of every happy thing
In sunny lane & wood.
I have not half the skill to sing
& praise her as I should pic.twitter.com/FhHQzKJSyk

The land is full of happy birds
& flocks of sheep & grazing herds.
I hear the songs of larks that fly
Above me in the breezy sky.
I hear the little lambkins bleat;
My honey-scent is rich & sweet.
Beneath the sun I dance pic.twitter.com/DxfjGjSy33
