"Be Not Afraid"

Lyrics from a  post-Vatican II Glory and Praise hymn

And if wicked men insult and hate you
All because of Me
Blessed, blessed are you!

Be not afraid
I go before you always
Come follow Me
and I shall give you rest...

but with scriptural references (Matthew 14:27).

I could try to make this post political by reiterating that Romney is "fighting for the soul of America", and, in that regard, Mitt is paraphrasing Santorum's observation on the campaign trail:

"Rights come from our creator," Santorum declared. "They are protected by the Constitution of this country. Rights should not and cannot be created by a government because any time a government creates a right, they can take that right away."

In contrast, Obama consistently deletes reference to "Creator" when quoting the Declaration of Independence:

and, like a vampire,  covers up images Jesus when visiting Catholic colleges:

Amidst all of the American flags and presidential seals, there was something missing when President Barack Obama gave an economic speech at Georgetown University this week -- Jesus. The White House asked Georgetown to cover a monogram symbolizing Jesus' name in Gaston Hall, which Obama used for his speech.
