๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ฆ Saint Clare Feast: 11 Aug

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ฆ Saint Clare
Franciscan (✝️1253 Anno Domini A.D.)         Feast: 11 Aug

Sometimes we call her St. Clare. Sometimes, St. Clara or St. Claire. Her mother & father were very rich ๐Ÿ’ฐShe lived in a beautiful Italian palace. But she listened to a man named St. Francis of Assisi . He was very like Christ :jesus: . He loved God ๐Ÿ’— He wanted to be poor. He hoped to save the world form sin. So, when her parents said she could not be a nun, Clare ran away

Clare cut her hair ๐Ÿ’‡‍♀️ She put on old clothes with a rope for her belt. In a little hut ๐Ÿš️ she took her sister, then her mother & some friends. She began the sisters known as the Poor Clares. All day long these sisters pray for sinners ๐Ÿ™ They love God ๐Ÿ’— :jesus: for those who do not love Him. They do penance so that men & women will not lose their souls.

Once the army of men who hated Christ ๐Ÿ˜ก ๐Ÿ‘ณ‍♂️ ☪️ came to Assisi . They meant to destroy the city ๐Ÿ”ฅ St. Clare carried the Blessed Sacrament :jesus:  ๐Ÿซ“ ✝️ outside the convent ⛪ Only her sisters were around her. But the great army saw her coming. They turned & fled in panic ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️ ๐Ÿ’จ She saved the city.
