#PrayForKavanaugh #ConfirmKavanaughNow

From the Thursday 27 September 2018 "700 Club" program:

Pat Robertson: There's a story in the Bible I want to share with you right now before I get into specifics. There was a King named David, a great king. His son, Solomon  rebelled...no, not Solomon, but ah...

Terry Meeuwsen : Absalom.

Robertson: Absalom, excuse me. Absalom rebelled against him [David] and he took with him one of the brilliant advisers to the king whose name was Ahithophel and as David was leaving, he said, "God, throw confusion into the counsel of Ahithophel." [ 2 Samuel 15:31] And Ahithophel was opposed by a man named Hushai [the Archite] and the rebellious son took Hushai's advice rather than that of Ahithophel and Ahithophel went on to commit suicide but the prayer was "throw confusion into the counsel of Ahithophel." And I want to ask everybody in this audience right now the left is making a play that is unprecedented, it is demeaning,  and it's not worthy of the United States Senate.  But it's doing it. And the prayer I want you to pray in these next few days....the next few minutes, actually, because it's [ Kavanaugh hearings ] coming up right away.  Throw confusion into those who are bringing false accusations against a future Supreme Court judge [ Justice].  And I want to pray right now, and I want you to pray with me, and keep on praying, because the thing's going forward in moments.  Pray with me right now:

"Father, even as David said, 'throw confusion into the counsel of Ahithophel' we pray that somehow the Holy Spirit of God will throw confusion into the counsel of these myriad [false] accusers [smearers] who are coming forth against a good man who can serve honorably for decades to come in the United States Supreme Court.    Lord, do it, we pray. In the name of Jesus, throw confusion into the [anti American leftist] counsel. Thank you, Lord. Amen"

Robertson: Well, for seventy years, the Supreme Court has become the prime focus of the left's onslaught against the spiritual values of the United States.  Here are some of its ground breaking decisions.  In the 1947 in what is called the Emerson case they invoked what is called a "wall of separation between church and state." And then, they banned prayer in schools and Bible reading in schools.  They declared abortion a constitutional right. And that has resulted in more than 60 million deaths of the unborn.

Robertson: Justices then declared homosexuality a constitutionally protected right. And just three years ago, the [Supreme] Court overturned state laws and made homosexual marriage legal.  Often by just a 5 to 4 vote.  This activist approach has dramatically changed the nation's understanding of the Constitution.  Along with the intent of the Founders of this nation.  The court has single handedly moved to federalize matters normally left to citizens of the states.

Terry Meeuwsen : ready?

Pat Robertson: Alright

Terry: This [question] is [from] Lynn who says "Obviously Judge Kavanaugh is a good man and God's choice to be under so much badgering.  Evil does not want a Godly man in charge.  Oh Pat, what's this all coming to?  It sure feels like the Last Days in the Bible.  We pray, but what more should we be doing? This is crazy."

Robertson: Well, I've said before on this particular thing there is a concentrated attack, it's all orchestrated.  It's like a script has been written and they're [leftists] are playing by it.  Now that these allegations have been made, [leftists say] "Judge Kavanaugh should resign, the president should withdraw his name." The left is doing everything it can to keep control of the Supreme Court.

Robertson: Now what I've been saying and I'll say it again - what should you do?  Pray, as David prayed. "Lord throw confusion into the counsel of Ahithophel." As this program winds down, there'll be things happening in the hearing before that [US Senate ] committee, and then the judges [senators] have got to decide what to do about the vote [for the Judicial Committee to approve confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh for SCOTUS]. The vote is supposed to be tomorrow [Friday 28 September 2018]. Now what do you do? You pray! As hard as you can. And you declare it:  "Lord throw confusion into the counsel of those who are opposing this good man." And it is a concentrated, deliberate plot to take away the option of the American people to have a Godly man and a responsible Supreme Court.  Remember that, "Lord throw confusion into the counsel of the enemy." That's what you pray. Do it now!
