My favorite thing about the Iditarod is how obvious it is that the dogs love what they are doing. They'd rather pull a sled through the snow than drink a cold beer.

To satisfy you & the folks at NBC, I ran across this site that accuses Palin of being a John Bircher.
I'm afraid I have to argue this one all the way with you. Just look at those dogs. They are tail wagging excited to get in front of that sled and pull it. It's inspiring. If you stood between them and the sled trying to hand them a beer they would knock you over to get to the sled. Also, I suspect most of them have personalities more suited to a straight shot.
