Part of the plot to C.S. Lewis "Prince Caspian"  was presumably based on Richard III or possibly Hamlet - about a usurper who killed the king & deposed the rightful heir to the kingdom - but it has allusions to modern politics - where opponents are conveniently Arkancided .
