bungled a Harry S. Truman quote, either deliberately or no:
"Well, here's what I know, we were just talking about responsibility and as president of the United States, it's pretty clear to me that I'm responsible for folks who are working in the federal government and you know, Harry Truman said the buck stops with you,"
Except, that's not Truman's quote, it's "The buck stops here [with Truman]"
Ultimately Mr. Romney, I think, is going to have to answer those questions [as opposed to taking Executive Privilege wrt Fast and Furious], because if he aspires to being president one of the things you learn is, you are ultimately responsible for the conduct of your operations [as opposed to blaming President Bush, Tsunamis, ATMs, etc etc etc for all of Obama's problems]
Another non-Trumanesque activity, besides turbo buck passing, is turbo-debt increasing:
Last week the Obama administration reportedly increased the national debt (in inflation-adjusted dollars) more in a mere four days than the administrations of Presidents Harry Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower increased it from 1950-1960 — an entire decade.
Alternately, "The buck stops in my campaign war chest."
