Abolitionist @GOP ers defeated racist @TheDemocrats to free slaves

Both @ZachBraff & @chrisrock & other progs in their 4th of July anti-America rant seem to conveniently forget that the Democrats advertized themselves as the White Man's party in the 19th Century:

Lincoln (R) & the abolitionists Republican Party defeated Jefferson Davis (D) & the racist Democrat Party to abolish slavery. Lincoln's Gettysburg Address re-dedicated the sacrifice of blood and treasure of the US Civil War to a new birth of freedom for our republic:

It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us--that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion--that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain--that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom--and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
