New Yorkers may have inferred from the harsh neglect of the Bouvier kinswomen that a potential Senator Schlossberg might have been equally coolly unwilling to aid non-kinsfolk in need.

Is there an inverse relationship between "Grey Gardens" and Caroline Kennedy's popularity?
PBS ran a documentary about the making of "Grey Gardens" the musical about the same time that Kennedy's popularity plummeted. The program described how Caroline nee Kennedy Schlossberg's mother provided no assistance to family members who lived in a house overrun with raccoons & condemned by the board of health.

New Yorkers may have inferred from the harsh neglect of the Bouvier kinswomen that a potential Senator Schlossberg might have been equally coolly unwilling to aid non-kinsfolk in need.

I'd say sense of entitlement did her in.
ReplyDeleteIt appears that Mrs. Schlossberg exhibited noblesse sans oblige.
